It is important to ensure
adequate drainage in the subfloor. Inadequate
drainage needs a plumber and subfloorfans installed.

0.05 Galvinished steel is used
at the level of the underside of the floor frame.
These are placed on piers and brick footings and are
installed to help discourage termite entry.
It still remains alarming to me
that a large amount of rot and termite damage that
occurs in Sydeny homes that I have seen could have
been avoided. Termite damage can cost many
thousands of dollars to repair and most insurance
companies do not offer termite attack insurance.
